This year our EOTC programme is built around an activity week from the 2nd to the 6th of December. The programme will include a range of experiences that are school, and community based. To cater for everyone’s budget, the experiences are split into two categories.
Categories
- Free activities around our school and local community. These may involve activities such as: day trips/walks to local spaces such as Anderson Park, ABL games, tent pitching, cook-outs, solar ovens, trebuchets/catapults, external sports coaches across a variety of sports ie: Golf, Badminton, Tennis, pickle ball, volleyball and bowls.
- Opt in extra-curricular activities that have a cost attached to them. These also require adult help for supervision.
All learners will participate in this week in either the free activities, the cost-based activities or a combination of both.
Category Two Activities have limited spaces and incur a cost.
These are outlined on the following page and the conditions as below.
Please read through the category two programme descriptions carefully and discuss these with your child. If they are keen, please note they can only register for one activity.
The following conditions apply for category two activities:
- Registrations for category two activities will open on Saturday 17th August and will close once all spaces are filled. Registration links are found below
- You may only register for one activity initially.
- The activity will close off and will not accept registrations once the limit of learners has been reached, so you will know automatically if your child has been successful.
- If they are unsuccessful with their first choice, they can then register for their second or third choices, if there are places still available.
- Please indicate whether you can provide adult support for the activity on the registration form.
- Payment must accompany registration, or it will not be accepted.
- Once a choice has been made this cannot be changed.
- Some activities may potentially be impacted by weather. Please note when registering that some of our providers have a non-refund policy.
- The school reserves the right to amend applications based on any learner concerns. These may be, but not limited to, physical ability and behavioural concerns.
If your child is applying for the CARTs (Culinary Arts) option:
- The CARTS trial is on Thursday Week 4. If your child is successful with their CARTS application, then they must be fully committed and cannot apply for any other options.
- A separate link, for those learners who are successful, will be sent to whānau to then complete the registration for CARTS.
- Registration must be completed by the Tuesday 20th August, or the place will be offered to another child.
