It was a lovely day to be having cross country, the sun was shiny and the birds were chirping. All you could hear was the parents, students and teachers cheering on all the kids, (I’m surprised that the students at Taradale High School could work).
Bang the gun went off!  The order of the races was: Y7 girls, followed by the Y7 boys, then the Y8 girls and lucky last the Y8 boys.

The course was a very trying one with 3 metre and a half jumps to complete over a 2.6km course.  All race participants were important as each person earned points for their learning teams.
Overall results were:  Mohaka 1^st, Takitimu 2^nd, Kaweka 3^rd and Tareha 4^th.
